Personal Background

Jeanette This memorial website was created by Cheryl Carr Honeycutt (Jeanette's Eldest Daughter) in loving memory of Jeanette Segundo Singh.

Jeanette was born on 29.01.1957 and sadly passed away on 23.06.2008 at the age of 51.

Jeanette is missed greatly by family and friends and will be remembered forever.

Jeanette Segundo Singh was born in the Phillipines on January 29, 1957 and sadly passed on June 23, 2008 at the age of 51 of congestive heart failure. She was the wonderful Mother of three girls, Cheryl, Jessica and Carissa. She was not only our Mother but our Bestfriend, we could talk to her about anything and everything. My mother carried me for 9 months, gave birth to me, was the first sight I ever set my eyes upon, fed me when I was hungry, got no sleep for months when I woke her up crying at night, changed my diapers, watched me smile when I recognised her face, start to crawl, take my first steps, say my first word. She was always there for me, every memory I’ve ever had growing up has her in it. When I was upset she was there to cheer me up. When I needed advice it was her I sought out. And when I stepped out of line it was her who put me back in step. She was a strong, loving mother who I always knew was on my side, would do anything for me and my sisters and gave us the perfect upbringing that made us the woman we are today. I’d known her as my mother and as I became and adult I knew her as the woman Jeanette Segundo Singh with a devilish sense of humor and a certain innocence about her. She was the most wonderful person I’ve ever known. She had always been a huge part of my life and now that she’s gone I realize that I’d always assumed she would be. She never passed judgement or got mad at whatever we told her even though there were some things she did not approve us but all she did is advise us the best she could. Not only us but the impact she left on so many peoples lives is unremarkable, there is not one person that can say a bad word about our Mother. She made sure that everyone was happy and taken care of. Made sure to make everyone laugh or just put a simple smile on their face. That is who she was a beautiful, smart, productive, funny person, business woman, Mother, grandmother (LOLA), daughter, sister, mother n law, wife and friend. Jeanette was also the proud, proud grandmother of 4 grandkids: John 10 years old, Collin 10 years old, Jasmine 3 years old and Jeremiah 4 months old. Our mother loved her grandkids so much so was so proud of each and everyone and they love their Lola so much too. Lola (Our Mother Jeanette) started this thing with Jasmine the only granddaughter where my mom would start telling Jasmine that she had magic for her. Well the magic turned out to be gum so Jasmine would always go up to her Lola and ask her, " Lola you got the magic?" and Mom would ask her for a kiss first. The grandkids miss you dearly mom.  It is still hard to except that you are gone but we know that you are now living your eternal life with our Dad, Mac Mac, Lolo Candido and also with your other grandchildren (the ones that I lost). I know they are keeping you busy Mom. One day we will all be back together again. We only hope to be half the woman you were mom so loving and giving without question at all. You accepted anyone and everyone without passing any judgement at all. Mom you are truely a one of a kind woman. You were so strong and taught us to also be strong woman but right now we are struggling to find that strength because without you there is so much pain and hurt in our hearts that it weakens the soul. But we will make you proud and keep all the promises that we made to you before you left this world. Mommy you are greatly missed and loved by so many people. You are the "Queen of Our Hearts" always.

Love you Mommy!!!!

Cheryl, Jessica and Carissa

" THE CHARMED ONES" - blessed with Mommies magical powers of strength and courage.. Thank you for all the wonderful years Mom and thank you for the 9 months of getting to grow inside you also for all the wonderful memories. I will always keep you in my heart.

Please watch the You Tube video that was created by a very good and long time friend of our Mother's. The beautiful voice you hear singing the songs are Our Mother. She sung like an angel and now that is exactly what she is, an Angel.

My breath died..
   ....with yours!

My heart stopped..
    ....with yours!

My life ended
    ....with yours!

Nothing is left to me!
except the Love
... you brought.

....Always, always,
...I shall have
your Love!

Mom and her girls, you were not only the Best Mom but also our Bestfriend and Soul Mates.. We love you Mommy...

You can see it in their eyes,
in tender hugs and long good-byes,
a love that only moms and daughters know.

You can see it in their smiles,
through passing years and changing styles,
a friendship that continually seems to grow.

You can see it in their lives,
the joy each one of them derives,
in just knowing that the other one is there...

To care and to understand,
lend an ear or hold a hand,
and to celebrate the memories they share.

The best Lola (grandmother) in the whole world. She was the wonderful Lola to 4 grandkids John Michael, Collin, Jasmine and Jeremiah... They all love and miss you so much Lola...

Such a beautiful woman.. Always smiling.. I miss seeing your beautiful smile Mom..

Our b days will never be the same without you Mom... You, me (Cheryl) and Jessica always celebrated our b days together.. You are so missed Mommy, we love you so much!

Love lives on forever
in each memory and thought
Of the special ones who meant so much
and the happiness they brought

 Love lives on forever--
it will never fade away--
For, in our hearts, our loved ones
are with us every day.

Beauty and Grace,
through her expressions of faith.

Comfort and tears,
she helps calm my fears.

Love and Life,
she's always my guide.

There'll never be another,
she's forever my Mother

A Mother is one who
understands the things
you say and do

Who always overlooks
your faults and sees the
best in you

A Mother is one whose
special love inspires you
day by day.

Who fills your heart with
gladness in her warm
and thoughtful way.

A Mother is all these things
and more - the greatest
treasure known.

And the dearest Mother in
all of the world is the one I
call my own.

Mommy made all the holidays so special.. When we were little me and my sisters would open up our gifts a little just to see what it was then tape it back up.. Our Mother caught on and so she started numbering the gifts so no one knew who's gift was who's anymore. We are going to miss that Mom.. Then she was never satisfied with how we decorated our tree so she would end up coming to our houses and re-do the whole tree. Thank you Mom because my tree did look horrible but you made it look beautiful as you made the world look beautiful.. Love you with all my heart.

Mom, I carry you in my heart always. We are so grateful to have had you as a Mother.. We know that you will continue to guide us from heaven as you did while you were on earth. You instilled in us your strength but it just might take sometime to find that strength right now. We still cannot believe that you are gone. Mommy rest now enjoy your eternal life in heaven with all the ones that you loved and lost and Mom take care of the babies I lost until I get there. You are missed everyday Mom and I cannot wait to be there with you again. Loving you with all my heart and soul. You were and still are the best Mom!!!!! We promise to always take care of one another. Thank you, thank you for loving us so much Mom. We love you Mommy..

Your 3 girls........ Cheryl, Jessica and Carissa

Love You MOMMY!!!! Always and forever.. You are the Queen of Our Hearts....

The Woman Behind It All - Jeanette, I know I didn't know you that well, but I see you living through your three beautiful daughters. I do know that you were a great mother, hard working business woman, hilarious, & very loving. The few times we got to see each other, you always treated us girls (Carissa's friends) like your own. You welcomed us with open arms. I know you're up in heaven singing, dancing, & having a wonderful time! I will look after your baby girl, Carissa for you. Love you, Ashley - from Ashley Dunn

Gahhh!!! - Auntie Jeanette! You were most definitely the craziest of the Sisters. You were always so funny and had such a funny laugh and you were always so loud and stuff. I remember telling you to shush one time because you were so loud. Oh! And also, I remembered back in Fort Worth, like.... years ago... I think it was Jessica's wedding, and you were so tired and sore that you asked me to walk on your back! I was so little back then, lol. And then you were like, "hoy, babyy, ill gib you 20 dollars to massage my back, huh, come on." And so I did, and you fell asleep! And you never gave it to me, lol. Im really sad that you didn't come with Auntie Maribel to our house earlier this year. I miss you hecka hecka hecka mucho. I remember my last memory of you was in December, when you were sick, and you couldn't come visit us for our party and you were talking to Auntie Lynn. I had just played a song her her and she said I should sing it for you because you were sick and it would make you feel better. So she called you and told you all about it then she gave me the phone and I talked to you for a little bit, and I told you that I had learned to play the guitar! So I played and sang O Holy Night for you because it was the holidays. And auntie lynn was there sitting next to me. And when I finished the song you had started crying. I asked you what was wrong and you told me that I had an amazing gift and that it made you feel so much better that I sang for you because I hadn't since I was a little kid. I remember you told me to go for American Idol, and because I remembered that, it sparked my mind to try out for American Idol, but I didn't make it. But you always told me not to give up, so im gonna keep on trying for you Auntie. I love you and miss you so much. - from Adrian Balansay

Christina Louise - Auntie, where do I begin.. So many memories, so little space to write.. You took me in many summers and my junior year in high school. I am so very sorry for driving you mad. I know I was a bit of a bad influence for your daughters, but you still loved me and just scolded me when you had to. I remember you put our butts to work all the time. We were so bored out of our minds, but you didn't care. I think that was like our punishment for being so bad. We used to hide behind your curtain when you J C's mart. We ate all the snacks and used to bug the hell out of you for money to get a burger or fries from across the street. You took us to dallas to get merchandise and man, did we hate that. We had to sit in the celica in the heat. LOL!!!But you know, all my life, whenever I thought about you or spoke about you, the words of STRENGTH, LOVING, ADMIRABLE always came mind. I remember when I brought Rob to our family Christmas ritual in Houston and she bought him a gift. You didn't even know his name so you put Christy's boyfriend..LOL...That was hilarious. I remember back in the day when Zhatair and Dontay and Vincent were 2 and 3 years old you created "THE MOO MOO" to scare the crap out of them so they would go to bed at night. MAN, that has stuck to all of LYNN'S grandkids (your older sister). My gosh I remember when Carissa was little and you used to pinch her belat and say it was bahoot. Sorry Carissa. All of us cousins do that to our kids now. You have passed your humor to the whole family. LOL...I love you auntie...one last favor to ask of you. Can you please watch over my baby girl, Angel, up there. Just let her know I love her. I love you and miss you. I will never forget you, when I feel I need you I will turn to the three girls that you live in. They all carry your characteristics within themselves. Each one has part of you. And boy do they look like you. Love you ate...Christina Louise...miss you

Charlene Clubb - Auntie Jeanette, I remember you got so mad at me for breaking your elephant piggy bank when me and Cheryl were little girls. You called me on the phone "Charlan HEH, did you break my bank and take my money" I was so scared Auntie, but I was more scared for Cheryl because I knew she would get in trouble for it. Your famous "HEH" was so scary in itself. Every time your blood was boiling you would "HEH" us..and when we would hear the "HEH" we would run and hide in the closet. Man Carissa you got lucky not to experience the "HEH" like your older cousins and sisters did. Auntie as you grew older your temper grew less and You became the "Nicest Auntie" ever. You always feed us and provide us with gifts. You never left anyone out and I mean anyone (not even your neighbors or strangers) Your are the most generous/giving person I have known. I will always remember you and be thankful that you gave me 3 wonderful cousins to share the most funny, crazy, and joyful moments of my life. I love you Auntie!

Krystal Mick - I remember when I first met you...I thought you were hilarious! Plus there were a few times when I 1st talked to you that I had no idea what you were saying bc you would talk so fast...I would be like Carissa what did your mom say and she would just laugh at me. I also remember coming over to the house and you would be singing on the karaoke machine and let me eat your rice. Oh yeah...thank you for taking me to Florida with you guys, I had a blast!! I always thought carissa had a crazy family but some how I fit in and you always made me feel your warmth! So, I thank you for letting me be a part of your wonderful family. You will forever be loved and missed!

Carissa Granizo - Mom! You were ALWAYS late taking me to school and picking me up! You know I like being on time everywhere I go! It was ME who couldn't wake YOU UP so you could take me to school. And I would ALWAYS be the last child picked up @ Blue Haze Elementary! Gosh mommy...always late! But you know I still love you! And I miss when me and you would always go to Waffle House...we always got our favorite...Grilled Chicken Sandwich. YUM! And thanks for staying with me when I 1st moved to my apartment. I know you grew to love Harley, and his kisses! You were always so funny, and nasty. Hoy! I don't know anyone else who can talk to their mom about half the things we talk about! You were so nasty! Haha! I love you forever and always mommy!

Kim Hays - I remember the night that Scott and Cheryl got married and you told me that I was like a daughter to you. I have and will never forget that.
